Islamophobia in America

9/11 now magnifies the conflict between America and Islam more than any of the past nine years. It is no doubt, that there is little neutral opinions towards this situation. I myself have tried to come to an understanding of why 9/11 happened, why they chose to murder innocent people. Thus, I can never find a reason to murder anyone. I have recently been interested in this subject just because there is a never ending amount of factors that contribute to this dispute. There are many "What ifs" in this situation, and you never really know the truth, until it is you who are the ones in charge.

America has gained a phobia of the Islamic community. Many people's ignorance and biases has created this phobia that makes them assume that every Muslim is a terrorist. Like every other religion, there are different levels of faith. From extremists to those who purely practice for their own spirituality, it seems as if the new prejudice is for the Islam faith entirely. As an American, I feel as if we are reverting back and regressing in society. We have the most diversity, and we stand for equality, but are we even practicing it? Just to have that Pastor from Florida on the Media is ridiculous. It's a small church, yet the media blows it up for everyone to know. It's common sense to know that such news would create hostility amongst each other. And for the Pastor, how much of a Christian are you if you are burning a holy book of another religion. In Christianity, it even says that you should fight the enemy by loving them, and still being kind.

Now it just makes me wonder, what kind of country are we living in? If we stand for peace and equality, are we supposed to hate those who are innocent also? As for Obama, who cares what religion he is, it is how he does his job. He needs to be clear and decisive on what needs to be done. In my stand against all this, yes I do believe killing is wrong, but I'm not pointing fingers at who is responsible. This goes a long way back that deals with political leaders, religions, and controversies that deal with the head hanchos of each society. All I know is that it is happening now, and there is no way to stop it. We've been at war for nine years for a reason. The reason? I do not know. You can have all these explanations of why events happened. But if you are the majority, citizens who just listen to news like myself, we'll never really know the truth. Furthermore, there is no reason to have hatred for anyone, because you never know who really started it. And that is truth that everyone knows.

As a Christian, I have tolerance for other religions. I am always persecuted of my religion, but it seems as if the Islam Community is taking harsher movements that if I was in that situation, it would just really sadden me. I have a lot more to learn about this conflict, so be sure to watch out for new updates, as this is the beginning of my research.
